GENERAL FAQ:
Q:When will my order ship?
A: I work Sunday-Thursday generally, I do my best to ship the same or next day (depending on the time of the order). If an order is placed Thursday afternoon or later, it may not ship until Sunday/Monday depending on my schedule that week.
Q: Preview photos seem blurry, why? Are the prints blurry too?
A: Absolutely not! The prints are crisp, the software that I use for previews leaves the image quality very low/blurry. I use this software to show scale, what the print looks like on fabric, and the low quality helps to make sure no one can copy the images!
Q: How do I use a seamless file?
A: Once you download your files, you will need to unzip them. Then you can upload/send a seamless file to any Print on Demand website (ex- Spoonflower (has restrictions on certain prints), Purple Seamstress). If you are uploading the file yourself, please make sure to print at 300 DPI or higher (original size of image, or smaller). Most websites automatically upload files at 150 DPI, but this would print your file/image very large and at half the quality/resolution it’s supposed to be.
Q: The file I downloaded is too big or needs to be scaled down and I don’t know how. A: Let me know! I can resize/scale any designs. I often upload the largest option I have for the design, so they can be scaled down leaving plenty of size options for the customer, but sometimes websites have restrictions on the size they allow per design. So, just message me and I’ll work out what you need!
Q: Do shops/businesses require a license to use MGC designs/seamless files?
A: Nope! If you are a small shop (under 3 employees) and purchase a design to run, then you can do just that. Files can also be used with overseas printing companies, but please choose a trusted company.
I do suggest to give MGC the shop information and contact info, so I can also keep an eye out to make sure the design isn’t being used by someone who didn’t purchase it. Also if a customer is looking for a specific design of mine that I no longer run, it would be nice to have a direction to point them in.
